Portfolio
A minimalist e-commerce web experience where product is everything and noise is nothing.

Portfolio
MOSS came to us with a clear philosophy: let the products breathe. The existing site buried their curated catalogue under cluttered navigation and generic layouts. Our mandate was to strip everything back and build a digital storefront that mirrors the brand's commitment to premium material selection, rigorous quality control, and eco-friendly practices. The result is a site that feels less like a shop and more like a gallery.
The challenge was creating a shopping experience that felt editorial and premium without sacrificing the conversion mechanics that drive actual revenue. Every white space, every typographic choice, and every interaction had to earn its place, luxury aesthetics cannot come at the cost of usability.
Research & Strategy
Competitor analysis of premium lifestyle e-commerce brands. Heatmap review of the old platform identified that 73% of drop-off happened on product listing pages due to visual overload.
Design & Development
Built on Next.js 15 with a headless commerce backend. Custom editorial grid system that reflows dynamically based on product type and promotional weight.
Branding Elements
Restrained type scale using geometric serifs. Off-white canvas with warm brown accents pulled from the product photography palette.
User Experience Considerations
Mobile-first, progressive enhancement. Optimised to sub-1s LCP. Swipe-native product gallery. Persistent cart with smart upsell logic.

Post-launch, MOSS recorded a 38% improvement in average session duration and a 29% uplift in conversion rate on mobile. The editorial homepage format drove a 41% increase in click-through to product pages. The site was shortlisted for a DBA Design Effectiveness Award in its first year.
